One role family stories play in my life is illuminating the paths that led to my existence. The loss of my grandfather’s business, the risk my father took to immigrate to America…How many invisible steps were taken before we ever arrived—each one leading to the circumstances in which we could be born? It’s with this lens that I find reverence not only for my life but for the difficult moments we face.
What if they are part of an unfolding story that, one day, will be told as an essential turning point?

Recently I had the honor of sharing Ali’s story, my great-grandfather, at the launch party for the Cosmos Cooperative, a member-owned publishing platform and creative community run by my friend Marco V Morelli. The co-op is dedicated to supporting artists in the process of developing, producing, and promoting their life’s work. If you’re curious, I highly recommend exploring their mission. Explore Cosmos Cooperative.

I’m going on tour!
I’m thrilled to announce new tour dates and invite you to join me.

5/26: Between the River Gathering, Valley, WA
7/17: National Storytelling Conference Fringe Festival, Kennesaw, GA

Do you or a friend have a living room near the Bay Area where you’d like to host an intimate hour of storytelling in late April? I’ll be in the area for the Buckeye Gathering and would love to extend my stay to offer Miroth, my hour-long show spanning four generations of my Lebanese heritage, to your community. Miroth weaves tales of Ali, my great-grandfather who crossed the sea in a barrel, my grandmother Zakieh’s quiet heroism, and my father’s immigration to the US. Intertwined is my own poetic journey of rediscovering Lebanon, our ancestral homeland. If you’d like to host an evening of storytelling in your area, please reply to this email. Let’s connect.
Very warmly,
Katherine Eid Wild
