"This woman, a time traveler, speaks with a voice that is timeless, a heart that is boundless in love and a mind that is wise."
-Mukara Meredith, SoulForce Leadership
The stories my father shared with me as a child about his native Lebanon grabbed me and would not let go. When I began writing, these were the stories that filled my pages.
Later, studying film opened another dimension. On my first trip to Lebanon, with a camera in hand, I captured images of olive groves, of hands breaking open pomegranates from the trees my grandfather planted, of my great-grandfather’s home where my father first listened to the stories he later passed down to me.
Performing stories on stage, I remain in reverence of the power of voice to transmit emotion and memory. This is how the stories were first given to me: through sound, through imagination. And there is power in relying solely on what the mind can conjure in image. Film opens another layer, one where metaphor and symbol move beyond words.
Now, I create multi-media performances that weave story and film together, bridging imagination and vision, connecting generations and worlds.

Documentaries & Shorts
Welcome to my film portfolio. Below, you’ll find a short film as well as my 20-minute documentary.
A Spring for Ali, documentary

This 20-minute documentary follows my journey to Lebanon with my father as we search for the grave of my great-grandfather in the Cemetery of Strangers. When we’re unable to find it, I take on the task of building him a memorial. Through this deeply personal quest, the film provides a first-generation Lebanese-American’s intimate view of Lebanon. The film screened at festivals from Seattle, USA to Beirut, Lebanon and won a student award at the Cedar Rapids Independent Film Festival.
Watch my short film, The Transplanted
A short and powerful story about my great-grandfather, Ali, shot in the redwood forest in California, USA.
